Browse the tests from the tests folder to see examples of other features within the library being tested out. Supports fixture profiling; Has defaults for a standard fixture and fixtures that need virtual dimmers. Has a debug shell that allows control of fixture channel values and access to general callbacks.

Additionally, provides an advanced web control panel with access to global callbacks, fixture helpers, fixture colors and control over individual fixture channels.

Currently only supports actual output via uDMX. There is also a print controller included that prints the DMX frames to console at the same rate it should output them to a data cable this can cause issues though with other things printing as well. I used regular cat5e networking cable for the wiring. Not all devices seem to work out of the box, below is a Fix for those devices that are not sending DMX :. Here are a few fixes for if your board does not send DMX, Please leave a comment on the fix you tried. It would be a great help for anyone having problems with this board in the future. I bought this one and is working, and I see a small modification here on my chip out of the box.

There are two shorted pins as I remember I try to short some pins to get continuous work. Personally, I find this the easiest, best program there is for free. What software can I use? Sending DMX :.

Confirmed not working RS adapters : Pro 5ft. Thanks to kefke44 for creating a 3D printable enclosure for this build. Free to download Here. It is pretty worth enough for me.

In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before. It seemed to be working fine for a day and a half and then the other morning i went to turn it on, the power indicator lit up, but its not sending dmx to the dimmer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. You will probably have two RS drivers active at the same time. In most cases this is a hardware input to the RS chip, and when left unconnected open the behaviour of the chip cannot be predicted.

Check the datasheet of the RS chip and make sure that the driver is disabled. Hi I saw this and really needed a DMX interface so I bought the board and put it together just as in the instuctions. I once got it to work and could control it RGB for a few seconds, but even then it still flashed white every few seconds. I think I get it in 2 weeks.

Thanks for this very usefull post. I already had a XLR connector for building the complete into a box. I connected the xlr to the rs -usb, and plugged it into my PC. There was shining 1 light from the usb thing. I plugged a dmx cable in the adapter and putted the dmx cable into a mushroom. It was on te right channel. After I had done that a second light goes on. There were not any drivers in the package, i contacted the company from ebay and send me a link for a drivers.

But after install nothing changed. Maybe you can help me with Teamviewer or something?

Once I leave the configuration dialog, the dimmers do not respond to any control, through channel, graphical, or submaster panels.

Is there an. I like the interface and appreciate the time and efforts put into making this software. Any assistance with my issues is greatly appreciated. One of our admins will move this thread into the english section so that there ist no problem with the language anymore :D. XP, Vista, Win 7 or Win 8? Try to start DMXControl with admin - rights. By giving DMXC those rights once, it can configure itself.

After that, DMXC should stay in english-mode. I will try the admin rights mode and see what that does. With regards to the uDMX, that one's still bugging me. It is almost as if the main program is not "seeing" the interface except while in test mode.

This could have something to do with the admin issue. Let me give that a shot and report back. Have tried starting DMXC with admin rights and by copying the udmx. English does not stick, it reverts to German on every restart 2.

Choosing the udmx plugin causes the program to crash every time. Very strange. I have tried it just a view minutes ago and it worked on Win7.

Maybe it would help, if you reinstall DMXControl with admin-rights. If this doesn't work either, then I have no idea why. Maybe Stefan Krupop could have an idea what to do.

I didn't have your interfae, so I didn't know, how to configure it.

I've been having the same issue with English - the first time I install or re-install it comes up in english. Then, every time after that, it comes up in German. Is there a config file that tells the program which language to use?

Can I change it manually? Thanks for any help!I purchased a cheap uDMX interface from eBay, and its width and height are smaller than a credit card, with a thickness of only over 1cm. If yours has come with one of these discs, then to make things similar you should just download the software I am giving you as links. It will be more up to date then the versions on those discs anyway. Finding this information out, if you do not know it already, is also very simple. If you try it and it works, please let me know!

If you use this method, ensure you install Libusb version 0. You need to remember this information. Next, we will need to download version 0.

Your browser may warn you that this file can be dangerous as the file is a. This is a false positive, you can check it with any antivirus to prove this. For this next step, you need to download the uDMX driver, which is a small. Again, your browser may complain and say that the file may be dangerous. This is a false positive, you can check it with your antivirus program. Your computer will attempt and will almost definitely fail to search for drivers for your device.

For Windows to find the driver, you need to click on the same folder. Unfortunately, the developers behind uDMX did not get their software digitally signed, resulting in a large, scary pop up box appearing when you attempt to install the driver. This driver is safe, however. You can scan it with your antivirus software, and I have been using it for around 2 years. This may take a few minutes. Now your drivers and your modified Artnet server is working, you need to get some software to control your lighting fixtures.

There are several free options available to you. My personal preference is FreeStyler. It is open, entirely free and has a community of people willing to help you with any problems. FreeStyler is good for live lighting control, especially for live chases and fast transitions. FreeStyler has plugin support and has several plugins included, such as LedTrix, which allows you to control LED par can chases using animated gifs.

The graphical user interface can sometimes be awkward to work with, however. As well as this, I have occasionally come across some minor bugs. As well as this, it was difficult to get my fixtures working with it as as far as I could see, there is no option to create custom fixtures. DMXControl does seem ideal for theatre productions, however.
